Lifetime Battery Warranty
A high quality hoist with a lifetime battery warranty

The GH3 ceiling hoist is a powerful ceiling hoist designed to operate in the toughest environments. The latest Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) battery technology combined with a constant charge system, constantly monitors the usage of the hoist, ensuring batteries are maintained in optimum condition. The GH3 can be specified with integral scales, care lift management and servicing modules, enabling detailed management of the hoist, to ensure it is being used and maintained correctly.

The GH3 is the latest in a long line of high quality hoist units from V. Guldmann A/S. It was designed in conjunction with a respected Scandinavian architect C.F Moller & Co, with a brief to design a hoist fit for the 21st Century. The modern lines of the GH3 are a testament to the designers vision and foresight – it blends seamlessly into any environment, removing visual distraction, and reminders to the user of their need for the equipment.

Lifetime Battery Warranty – The GH3 is supplied with a lifetime battery warranty, guaranteeing that you will never buy another ceiling hoist battery again. We are able to offer this warranty as we are so confident in the quality of the GH3 and the battery. Terms and Conditions apply.

Constant charge system ensures that the GH3 is always charging wherever it is on the track – saving caregivers time and effort, whilst also cutting down on user error.

The in built automatic charging system constantly monitors the battery maintaining it in optimum condition. This means fewer breakdowns and fewer battery failures.

GH3 Ceiling Hoist Design – Every feature of the GH3 has been thought out in minute detail – the constant charge system ensures that the hoist is always available and ready for use., reducing user error and minimising call outs. The hoist constantly monitors the battery life to ensure they cannot be permanently damaged by misuse whilst the latest technology Lithium Ion batteries themselves are designed for maximum life span.

Design

The modern design of the GH3 blends into any environment and is easy to clean.

Configurable

The speed of lifting and descending can be programmed using the handset.

Reliable

Ultra strong lifting tape, and high grade Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries ensure the GH3 will work harder for longer.

Constant Charge

A constant charge battery management and charging system prolongs battery life so that you benefit from a lifetime battery warranty.

FAQs

What Safe Working Load (SWL) options are available for the GH3?
The GH3 is available in multiple lifting capacities ranging from 200 kg to 400 kg, allowing architects to specify a model suitable for bariatric, acute care, education, or Changing Places applications.

How does the GH3 ceiling hoist charge?
The GH3 uses an in-rail constant charging system, meaning the hoist charges automatically wherever it is parked on the track. No wall charger is required, and the hoist remains ready for use at all times.

What track configurations is the GH3 compatible with?
The GH3 works with a wide range of Guldmann track systems, including:

  • Straight ceiling-mounted tracks
  • Full-room H-frame systems
  • Turntables and track switches
  • Combination layouts
  • This flexibility makes it suitable for new builds and refurbishment projects.

What structural support is required for installation?
The hoist must be fixed to a load-bearing structure, such as timber joists, steel beams, or reinforced supports. Structural assessment is required to confirm load paths, especially in retrofit or suspended-ceiling environments.

Is the GH3 suitable for high-frequency use?
Yes. The GH3 is designed specifically for professional care environments and can support high numbers of lifts per day. The constant-charge system and robust NiMH battery technology make it suitable for hospitals, care homes, SEN schools, and public Changing Places facilities.

Are BIM/Revit models available for the GH3 hoist?
Yes. BIM/Revit families and CAD drawings are available for the GH3 hoist and track systems, supporting clash detection, ceiling coordination, and M&E design.

Does the GH3 comply with LOLER and other regulations?
Yes. The GH3 must undergo LOLER inspections every 6 months.

Can the GH3 provide motorised horizontal movement?
Yes. The GH3 can be configured with an optional built-in motor for powered horizontal travel along the traverse rail. Operation can be via handset or infrared remote control.

Is the GH3 available with different cover colours?
Yes. GH3 hoist track and motor can be matched to any RAL colour to suit design preferences and help the hoist blend into clinical, educational, or public environments.
